Quality is the top priority of our company. Based on the concept of Total Quality Management, we are following strict quality standards in every stage of our manufacturing process namely raw-material inspection, testing secondary ingots, and segregation of scrap.

We are well equipped with the most advanced OES analysis instrument like SPECTROMAXx F and D of Spectro make Germany and GNR Solaris NF of GNR, Italy. We also have an in-house RPT Density measurement device and K Moulds to check the gas content and impurities in the metal.

Every heat is checked intensely for not only its chemical composition but also for its grain size, dross content and gas content.

In addition to the plant quality assurance job, our Q.C. department also provides after-sales services to our customers. We offer free consulting and troubleshooting services to all our customers.

The quality control steps followed by us are as follows :-

Incoming Material

  • Visual Check for oxidation and chemical coating on the scrap.
  • Mostly scraps of one quality/composition are purchased directly from manufacturers who sell it as factory rejects or end cuttings.
  • Scraps generally bought are Clean Car Wheels, Bike Wheels, EC grade wires, Lithographic Sheets, utensil scraps, bailed/loose sheets, turnings etc.
  • Quality Scraps are PM identified before they are purchased.
  • Spectrometer test for chemical composition.
  • Testing of Secondary ingots for quality.
  • Raw materials are kept in an enclosure free of moisture.

Inprocess Inspection

  • Temperature Control using a pyrometer.
  • Degassing & Fluxing using environmentally friendly high-quality Granular flux.
  • Grain refinement and modification process carried out on every heat.
  • Online chemical Composition check before discharge.
  • Before discharge samples are tested for gas content and oxide contents.

Finished Goods

  • Every heat is marked with encoded batch numbers, which ensures complete back traceability up to the raw material stage.
  • Every heat is re-tested for its chemical composition before discharge.
  • Each Batch test sample is retained for 30 days.
  • Each batch is colour coded after the ingots have sufficiently cooled.
  • All manufactured goods are kept in an enclosure free of moisture.

Dispatch Of Goods

  • Each batch of ingots is dispatched with its test certificate.
  • If required strapping is done for 500 kg lots.
  • Before dispatch each ingot is rechecked for colour code and batch numbers to ensure proper traceability.
  • Finished goods are not only weighed inside before dispatch but to ensure our valuable clients get the proper quantity ordered, this inside weight is cross-checked again by weighing it outside in two separate third-party weighbridges.

Testing Equipments

  • SPECTROMAXx F, SPECTROMAXx D and GNR Solaris NF, all the latest multi-CCD-based Spectrometers imported from Spectro of Germany and GNR of Italy.
  • Thermocouple-based Pyrometers along with IR guns for temperature control and measurement.
  • K Moulds for oxide and slag checking.
  • RPT Density index meter.
  • Conductivity Meter.

Equipments Used For Manufacturing

  • Furnace - Skelnar using Wesman burners and blowers.
  • Crucibles - Silicon Carbide crucibles.
